We all know that dry fruits are very good for our health. Different dry fruits serve different purposes or rather have different medicinal values. For e.g, Dates are a very rich source of heamoglobin content and walnuts and Almonds are very good for curing cholesterol .

So imagine the whole dry fruits coming in a single pack and that too with a sweet taste and flavour of a chocolate. Yes, that is the Dry Fruit Bar .I feel that this is a very good snack for children also. As many of the children are very peculiar about the taste factor, we need to give them dishes which are combinations of good taste and are nutritive too.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup Almonds

  • 3/4 cup Cashew nuts

  • 3/4 cup Pistachios

  • 1 cup puffed rice

  • Jaggery

  • ¼ cup Honey

Method :

  • Dry roast all the nuts and puffed rice in low flame for 10 minutes or even you can use the baked nuts. Chop the nuts.

  • Heat the pan and melt jaggery and honey together

  • Stir well till the jaggary melts completely.

  • Once the syrup becomes thick and sticky, add the fruits and nuts mix into the pan and mix everything well very fast.

  • Line an aluminium tray (rectangular in shape) with ghee/butter and then transfer the hot mix directly into it. (I have used a glass bowl with ghee greased on the bottom)

  • Grease your hand with oil or butter and then press on top of the mix to level the mix evenly all over the try.

  • Flatten it evenly and allow it to set at room temperature for atleast 1 hour

  • After 1 hours invert it into a plate .
