Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create shapes which make up designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, eggs, and to make models, jewellery, mobiles etc.
My acquaintance with quilling started last week, when I had gone to my native. My neighbour's daughter actually taught me quilling to make jewellery. I was always fascinated by this quilled jewellery, terracotta jewellery etc.So when I came to know that it was very easy to learn this , I just grabbed the opportunity.
So here goes my first venture in Quilling.

This is the first phase in making the shape, i.e if u see the picture, it can be clearly noticed that shape is already quilled here. Now the next part is to to attach the hooks for the studs and jhumkas. The hook attachment process to studs is very easy. Using fevicol we just stick the hook to the back of the stud. For the jhumkas, u need to have the following hook. The quilling sheets are shown in the pictures above.

Finally comes my quilled jewellery.
