Cheese Garlic Bread

Looking for a simple appetizer to highlight your meal? This mouthwatering cheesy garlic bread will delight your guests or family members.

This bread has a perfect garlicky taste and an ooey-gooey cheesy top. You can’t say no to that! We love it with soups as a side dish.

Ingredients

6 slices of French bread (or any other bread of choice)

2 tablespoons of butter, softened (microwave 20 seconds)

6-8 garlic cloves, finely ground into paste

1 tsp Oregano

salt and pepper to taste

2 tsp dry Parsley + additional for garnishing

1-1.5 cups of shredded cheese such as Parmesan or Mozzarella (or a mix of several)

Method :

Preheat oven to 375F. Line a baking tray with aluminium foil and spray/coat it with oil. In a bowl combine the butter,garlic, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper. Mix well so that it all well combined.

Now apply this mixture on one side of the bread and place it on the lined baking tray with the mixture side facing upwards and then spread the mozzarella cheese evenly on all slices. Bake for 10 mins or until the cheese has melted.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle some dry parsley (garnishing).
